Mrs. Meiser's class working hard planning and executing their designs. 4 out of 6 survived! VICTORY!
Our students have been learning about force and energy transfers. Their final project was to design a system that could with stand a 2.5 meter drop. This is essentially dropping it from the ceiling!
If schools are closed at any point this week, the testing schedule will be altered. The most likely situation is that each class will be delayed one day. It is possible that a class may be moved from the end of the week to the beginning of the week. This is so that all testing is completed prior to the end of the quarter.
Our students designed a system to keep an egg safe from a 2.5 m drop. Way to go Mrs. Anderdon's class!
Thanks to a parent of one of our 3rd grade students in Mrs. Lancaster's class for sharing!
Follow this LIVE streaming view of our national bird, the Bald Eagle, nesting in D.C.! A note from DC Eagle Cam "This is a wild eagle nest and anything can happen. While we hope that all eaglets hatched in this nest will grow up healthy and successfully fledge each season, things like sibling rivalry, predators, and natural disaster can affect this eagle family and may be difficult to watch. " Congratulations to all of our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. You made awesome work and decorations for our door. Keep protecting our ENVIRONMENT! |
